Doubleweave Diversity A Workshop with Jennifer Moore May 8 and 9, 2008 9:30 am to 4:00 pm VThursday, May 8 through Friday, May 9, 2008

Learn all about the magic of doubleweave! Participants will weave a sampler that explores weaving two independent layers of cloth, double-width cloth, tubular weaving, color-and-weave effects, pique, quilting and doubleweave pick-up. Graphing designs and working with multiple colors will be introduced. These techniques can then be taken home to create clothing, sculptural pieces, decorative hangings and whatever else the imagination can dream up. Maximum Enrollment:15 Level: beginning to intermediate Students will bring a 4-shaft table or floor loom warped according to instructions Cost: $100 plus a supply fee of $10 to be paid to Jennifer at the beginning of the workshop. Participants are responsible for personal meals, lodging, or materials during the workshop. MAXIMUM ENROLLMENT: 15 Level - beginning to intermediate Students will bring a 4-shaft table or floor loom warped according to instructions Jennifer Moore received her MFA in Fibers from the University of Oregon, where her area of specialization was exploring mathematical patterns and structures of music in doubleweave wall hangings. She has exhibited throughout the country and overseas and received numerous awards for her work. She has been featured in Handwoven, SS&D and Weaver’s magazines, and in the Fiberarts Design Books Three, Four and Seven.
